WORKERS bound to work in the National Capital Region (NCR) were forced to walk as public transportation has been suspended anew in view of the re-imposition of lockdown in Metro Manila and adjoining provinces.
From Antipolo City, commuters are walking along Marcos Highway early this morning if only to make sure that they reach their workplaces in time.
On Sunday night, President Rodrigo Duterte announced that Metro Manila and nearby areas will be under MECQ for two weeks after health frontliners asked for a time out to recalibrate strategies against COVID-19 as health workers are already worn out due to the rising number of cases being admitted in hospitals.
