WITH a centralized quarantine facility in place, the Pasig City government is now on an expedition to hire additional health care workers to form part of their COVID-19 response team.
In his live video feed on Facebook, Mayor Vico Sotto said while there were still vacant buildings and beds for COVID-19 cases in their facility, they are still short of medical workers. He went on to make an appeal to health workers, regardless of where one comes from, to apply in the city.
“Kailangan natin ng karagdagang health care workers so kung ikaw po ay isang health care worker, nananawagan po ako… maaaring naghahanap ka ng trabaho, maaaring gusto mong tumulong… please apply,” he said.
To lure more medical workers to apply, Sotto hinted on a fat pay.
Aside from health care workers, Pasig City is also recruiting medical technologists for the city’s molecular laboratory, which will be opening soon.
Sotto said interested health care workers may submit their applications to pasigcovidtf@gmail.com.
