South Korea is resuming certain lockdown measures as it battles a new coronavirus outbreak.
Health Minister Park Neung-hoo announced new bans on large gatherings, with closures for beaches, nightspots and churches, as well as removing fans from professional sporting events.
The government said it did not take the decision lightly, but felt the restrictions were necessary after nine straight days of triple-digit increases in infections.
Korea hit its peak of new infections in March, when there were up to 600 new cases a day. On Saturday, the government recorded 332 cases. (foxnews.com)
