SAMAL, Bataan – In her bid to boost the production of agriculture here, Mayor Aida de Guia Macalinao is providing free fertilizers, in partnership with Department of Agriculture to the farmers.
Mayor Macalinao said that since the D.A.is providing worth P2,000 of fertilizers to the farmers “I am also giving the same amount for fertilizers to our farmers in this town.”
Since a lot of Samaleños depend on farming, Mayor Macalinao pointed out that her administration is giving priority to the needs of the farmers “to boost their rice production.”
“ I have talked to a fertilizer trader here to just give the farmers their fertilizers then I’ll pay it later so that they can use it immediately,” pointed out Macalinao. He added: “Pinakiusapan ko tong negosyante dito na pahiramin niya muna ng fertilizers ‘tong magsasaka namin para magamit nila agad, then babayaran ko na lang later on.”
Mayor Macalinao is also encouraging the Samaleños to plant more vegetables in their backyard as this will help them in their daily needs.
