THE Province of Cavite is on its way to recovery from the adverse effects of the global pandemic, said Governor Jonvic Remulla on Friday.
In a briefing in Malacañang, Remulla said the local government has observed low transmission of COVID-19 cases in the province. “Ang Cavite po ay on the way to recovery. Bumababa po ang aming transmission cases at kung mapapansin ninyo po sa lahat ng lalawigan na nakapaligid sa Metro Manila, ang pinakamababa po na growth rate ng COVID ay doon po sa Cavite,” Remulla said.
Remulla reported a recorded 756 active COVID-19 cases in the province, even as he claimed that 64 percent of their hospital beds in the province are occupied.
Interestingly, Cavite, despite his pronouncement, the Department of Health considers the province as high-risk and for that reason, was placed under modified enhanced community quarantine until August 18, aside from Metro Manila, Bulacan, Laguna, and Rizal.
