MARIVELES, Bataan – In this fishing locality, “bayanihan,” or the fine art of inter-locking exchange of favor, remains intact. Whatever one needs, one fills the gap, at no cost.
With an age-old tradition in place, the local police recently got another lift – this time from Barangay Alas-asin, which recently provided office equipment seen to help de-clog case backlogs.
Alas-asin barangay chairman Bert Arsenal Sr., in a statement, cited the need to sustain an old tradition if only to make sure that their community remains in order, by donating heavy duty printers for documentation of cases handled by the Mariveles local police.
On top of what has already been turned-over, village councilor Rommel Arcenal likewise offered technical framework designed to systematize paper works.
