Jeff Fernando to host new online showbiz talk show ‘Famous Ka!’

Former ABS-CBN segment host and entertainment reporter Jefferson Fernando is back!

Following his colorful stint on the Kapamilya network, Fernando will now host the new online show called “Famous Ka” which will begin on Facebook on August 5 at 6 p.m.

“‘Famous Ka’ is a once-a-week online showbiz magazine talkshow.

“Famous Ka” will be produced by an independent group called the Echo Jam Entertainment Production which stages concerts and awards shows.

For its pilot episode, Film Development Council of the Philippines head Liza Dino Seguerra will be the special guest.

“Sa pilot episode, we’re having FDCP Chairman Liza Diño Seguerra as guest.

Fernando admitted he was really affected by the network’s crisis but he managed to stay strong.

Hindi ko pa lang alam sa ngayon pero I’m still positive,” said Fernando, when asked to comment on the ABS-CBN crisis.

Fernando recalled that it was print and broadcast journalist Jake Maderazo who encouraged him to be a segment host and reporter of the former ABS-CBN morning show “Alas Singko y Medya” sometime in 1999.

“Dito ako natuto dahil ako ang nagko-cover at interview, nagsusulat ng script, edit ng video and intro to my report on camera araw araw. Mahirap pero di ko naramdaman kasi gusto ko ang ginagawa ko,” he said.

Fernando thanked all the supporters of ABS-CBN for many years.

“Nakakatuwa dahil ako personally, hanggang ngayon, nakakatanggap pa rin ng positive messages to stay strong and hold on. Maraming salamat sa kanilang lahat na nanonood na-i-inform at napasaya ng iba’t ibang shows ng ABS-CBN,” he added. (Robert R. Requintina)
