LIMAY, Bataan — If not for the free dialysis, local folks suffering from kidney failure could have already died months ago, and in an apparent effort to save more lives, the provincial government alongside with the local government units in the province embarked on putting up a dialysis center.
At the inauguration of the new dialysis center, local folks who were suffering from kidney-related ailments were all praises to Governor Abet Garcia and the town’s two top elected officials – Mayor Nelson David and Vice Mayor Richie David, who jointly worked for the construction of the medical specialty facility.
Gov. Garcia and the two top local officials recently led the inauguration of the Dialysis center and Sports complex in this town, priority projects of the said local officials.
Gov. Garcia happily announced the inauguration of the two facilities that will provide quality services to the people of Limay assuring that “ang dalawang pasilidad ay tinitiyak nilang magbibigay ng de-kalidad na serbisyo sa mga mamamayan ng bayang ito.”
Dialysis per session costs more than P2,000 and some kidney patients undergo session twice a week.
First to be inaugurated was the Limay Dialysis Center located at Judy’s Park in Barangay Wawa and followed by the Limay Sports Complex located just beside the public market.

He said the dialysis center will provide free services particularly to the indigents from Limay.
Interestingly, there are 10 dialysis machines, each costing more than one million pesos, at the new medical facility.
“Ang inayos at pinagandang Limay Sports Complex naman,” the governor pointed out, “ay maaaring gawing isolation center ng lalawigan upang mas masugpo at mapigilan ang pagkalat ng coronavirus disease.”
Aside from Mayor David, Vice mayor Richie and governor Garcia, those attended were 2nd District Rep. Jose Enrique Garcia III, Vice-Gov. Cris Garcia, and others.
During the inauguration, Congressman Garcia said that he believes that his House Bill 7122 proposing to set up Limay District Hospital will be approved as this has long been requested by the people of this town.
