MORE national government officials are seen falling prey to COVID-19 as Transportation Assistant Secretary Goddes Hope Libiran made the admission she was tested positive for the virus on Friday.
“In the spirit of transparency, I would like to inform everyone that I tested positive for COVID–19,” her Facebook post read.
Libiran has since subjected herself to home quarantine ever since she got tested on August 1.
“Please do not worry. My GOD is stronger than this virus. HE will never let me down.”
On Thursday, the Philippines has overtaken Indonesia as the hotspot of COVID-19 in Southeast Asia after the Department of Health (DOH) announced 3,561 new cases, raising the total to 119,460.
