MORE Filipinos abroad have tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), said the Department of Foreign Affairs who hinted on figure that only a hair-line shy of reaching 10,000 cases.
Recovery remained at 5,790 and the death toll at 708.
As of this posting, there are 3,276 patients undergoing treatment.
DFA data hinted on a total of 998 cases in the Asia and the Pacific region. Of this figure, 302 are undergoing treatment, 688 have recovered, and eight have died.
The Middle East or Africa has, meanwhile, reported a total of 6,849 cases with 2,311 patients undergoing treatment. A total of 4,108 patients in the region have recovered while 430 have succumbed to the illness.
In the Americas, there are a total of 784 cases with 162 patients undergoing treatment, 447 recoveries, and 175 fatalities.
Meanwhile, no new cases were reported in Europe with the total remaining at 1,143, patients undergoing treatment 501, recoveries at 547, and fatalities at 95.
