Cascolan revamps key PNP officials

By John Clifford Lintao

WITH barely two weeks since assuming the top Philippine National Police post, Director General Camilo Cascolan reshuffled the PNP hierarchy anew as more senior police officials were reassigned in the national headquarters and regional offices.

PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Ysmael Yu said the PNP chief tapped Police Major General Ephraim Dickson to lead the Civil Service Group, replacing Police Major General Roberto Fajardo who will retire from police service on Friday, September 18.

Dickson, who serves as the Director for Integrated Police Operations-Visayas, will be replaced by Police Brigadier General Manuel Abu, the chief of Police Regional Office – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

Yu said Police Brigadier General Samuel Rodriguez would then take Abu’s post.

Rodriguez will relinquish his post as director of Information Technology Management Service to Police Brigadier General Daniel Mayoni from the Directorate for Police Community Relations.

Meanwhile, Police Brigadier General Julius Lagiwid was named as Deputy Director for Police Community Relations while Police Colonel Eric Noble was designated as DPCR Executive Officer.

Yu said all reassignments would take effect on September 18.
