ASIDE from the world renowned Boracay Island, which is famous for its white sand beaches, a top Palace official also hinted at an imminent re-opening of tourist spots in Bohol
“I understand Bohol might be opening soon, within the month of October, if I’m not mistaken. So unti-unti naman pong nagbubukas ang ating mga tourist spots,” presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said in a televised briefing.
Baguio City is likewise all set for re-opening its doors to tourists in October under strict health protocols. Baguio, however, will only accept tourists from Region 1 for the meantime.
The Palace earlier called for a safe reopening of the tourism industry amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
It emphasized that there must be proper and close coordination between the national government and the local government units regarding the implementation of health and safety protocols when traveling.
