ORION, Bataan – A giant foreign-owned cement plant has been set up in barangay Sta. Elena this town.
The Halong Pilipinas Inc., said to be owned by Chinese and Taiwanese nationals, is reportedly bigger than the one operating inside Freeport Area of Bataan.
Top company officials of Halong led by Jayson Liu , Chairman;
James Ng, President; Atty. Jovito Barte, Board of Director of PNR;
Florante Masayon, Officer; and Mary Ann Masayon, Officer paid recently a courtesy call on Gov Abet S. Garcia, said Chris Leonzon, head of Housing project in Bataan.
Gov Garcia assured his support to the cement company as this will generate employment and income to the people of Bataan.
The cement plant will reportedly supply local consumption.
