GOVERNMENT CENTER, Bataan — Top personnel of the Land Transportation Office should be given additional training and wide knowledge before assuming key positions in the LTO offices.
This was aired by Ronald Dabu, chief of the LTO in Bataan, who hinted on an observation that sees quite a number of LTO top personnel seemingly lacking on the skills and training. “There are top personnel in the agency being given key positions but apparently lack the skills and training before assuming the sensitive slot given to them.”
A product of the University of the Philippines (Diliman), Dabu, now holding the position as Supervising Transportation Regulation Officer (TRO) for Balanga District Office, said that before personnel would be given key position “they should study further and undergo appropriate training programs for them to be more competent enough in the position they are aspiring for.”

Dabu, who has been working for LTO Bataan since 2009, cited his personal struggle – starting as Clerk II and slowly carved his way to the top, has also been conducting seminars/workshops to various LTO district offices, students, bus and jeepney drivers’ associations, among others.
Interestingly, Dabu’s latest struggle to the top saw him slug it off with 11 other aspirants for the position he is currently into.
