Bacolod police chief relieved

THE Philippine National Police continued its purge on police officials assigned in the Visayas region with Bacolod City police chief Henry Biñas as the latest casualty.

In an order dated Sept. 23 order signed by P/Directorial Staff chief Major General Joselito Vera Cruz, Biñas, who was the top cop for Bacolod City for 20 months, has been directed the shortest route possible back to the PNP headquarters at Camp Crame in Quezon City.

Replacing Biñas is P/Colonel Manuel Alcano Placido. (Jaime Lim)
