MARIVELES, Bataan- Like a mother who is always looking after the welfare of her children, Mayor Jocelyn P. Castañeda visited again
Sunday, Sept. 19, the hundreds of COVID-19 positive patients and brought them food inside the facilities in this town, boosting their morale and give them a new rise of hope.
Despite the advice of others for her not to get closer inside the covid facilities for fear of being infected by the dreaded virus, Mayor Castańeda still proceeded in her bid to see for herself the real situation of the COVID-19 patients and how she could help them better.
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus that severely hit residents and workers of this industrial town, Mayor Castańeda
has been giving priorities on the patients and at the same time providing relief foods to her constituents.
Wearing a red personal protective equipment, Mayor Castañeda was accompanied by MIS Head Jonathan Dela Cruz and Pharmacist Kimberly Pascual, in her visit inside the covid facilities in A. G. Llamas and Alas asin national highschools.
Says radio broadcaster Jun Bringula in her admiration of the bravery of Mayor Castańeda or Jocas as fondly called by freinds and relatives, “ ARMADO NG PAG-IBIG AT PAGMAMAHAL SA KANYANG MGA KABABAYAN LALO NA SA MGA APEKTADO NG MAPAMINSALA AT NAKAKAMATAY NA SAKIT ANG BITBIT NI MARIVELES MAYOR “JOCAS” AT BUONG TAPANG NITONG SINUONG ANG PANGANIB UPANG BIGYAN NG AYUDA AT MAKITA ANG KALAGAYAN NG MGA NAAPEKTUHAN NG COVID-19 SA KANYANG BAYAN.”
“DITO’Y IPINAKITA NI MAYOR JOCAS ANG PAGIGING ISANG TUNAY NA INA NG BAYAN ,NA SUSUUNGIN ANG LAHAT NG PANGANIB MAIPADAMA LANG ANG KANYANG PAGMAMAHAL SA MGA KABABAYANG PINAHIHIRAPAN NG COVID 19.”
“Sa mga larawang nakita ng mga local press, makikita rito na personal na pinapakinggan ng Alkalde (Mayor Jocas) ang magagandang suhestiyon ng mga naka-isolate upang lalo pang maisayos ang isolation facilities at asahan daw aniya na unti-unti niya itong mapapaganda at maisasaayos sang ayon sa mga naging suhestiyon ng mga ito.
Nais ng ating Mayor na malaman niya ng personal ang kanilang mga pangangailangan at matugunan ito ng agaran,” broadcast journalist Mhike Cigaral also said.
