Miss World cancels 2020 pageant due to COVID-19

Sorry guys, no Miss World beauty pageant this year!

This was announced by Julia Morley, chairman and CEO of Miss World to all national licence holders, on Facebook July 29.

Morley’s full announcement:

“The 70th Miss World Final will be held in the latter part of 2021. Host Country/Venue will be confirmed very soon;

“We have made the decision to delay the 70th Miss World Final. Safety is paramount as we continue the fight against Covid 19 – We look forward to welcoming the Miss World family to our very special celebrations next year.” (updated program and schedule will follow soon).
