MARIVELES, Bataan — The provincial government badly needed help and they readily provided. For that reason, Bataan Governor Abet Garcia underscored the need to recognize what he described unsolicited help from those who have shown compassion sans media stunts.
Garcia particularly cited efforts of Vice president Leni Robredo and the people behind the “Angat Buhay” program for donating Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to Mariveles District Hospital (MDH) which received 20 pieces of isolation suits, 40 pieces of N95 masks, 50 pieces of medical gowns, 10 pieces of protective medical goggles, 600 pieces of medical disposable gloves, 300 pieces of medical shoe covers, 150 pieces of medical head covers.
Also lauded was the Rotary Club of Mariveles for providing food packages to MDH as their contribution for three-day Lunch Meal Program.
“Ang inyo pong mga ibinahagi sa ating mga frontliners at healthworkers ay malaking tulong at magsisilbing inspirasyon sa patuloy nating paglaban sa COVID-19,” Garcia’s Facebook post read.
“Muli, marami pong salamat at ibayong pag-iingat po sa ating lahat,” the governor added.
