ANOTHER local chief executive from Rizal province has fallen prey to COVID-19.
Pililla town Mayor Dan Masinsin, who is now under isolation and being treated in an undisclosed private hospital, has tested positive for the virus.
In a social media post uploaded by the Pililla local government, Masinsin reportedly went on isolation after feeling symptoms on August 10. It was only after a week that he got the result which yielded positive. Among the symptoms he felt were cough and shortness of breath.
Masinsin’s family members were likewise swabbed on couple of days back, and are into a 14-day mandatory period for home quarantine. Aside from family members, the local chief executive’s close contacts were told to be cautious of the symptoms while under a similar 14-day self-quarantine.
Several months ago, Rizal Governor Rebecca Ynares and Taytay Mayor Joric Gacula also contracted the ailment. They have since been cleared after treatment.
