Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año hinted at the need to wear face masks even at home.
In a television interview, Año advised families to observe physical distancing – or better yet, wear face masks even inside their homes adding that the public should be made aware that transmission also take place among family members.
Advisable din ‘yung face shield dyan,” said Año.
He likewise said family members should also wear face masks in going to market and offices.
The government earlier reverted the quarantine status in Metro Manila, Cavite, Bulacan, Rizal, and Laguna to modified enhanced community quarantine from August 4 to 18 following the request of the medical community to impose stricter lockdowns in the National Capital Region and nearby areas.
