PUMP prices of petroleum products seemed increasing week after week. In fact, the last seven weeks saw petroleum companies imposing hikes on a weekly basis – and another one is about to take place on Tuesday.
In its fuel price forecast for the December 15 to 21 trading week, Unioil Petroleum Philippines said the price per liter of diesel may go up by P0.60.
Meanwhile, gasoline prices were likely to be hiked by P0.50 to P0.60 per liter. Fuel companies usually announce price adjustments every Monday, and these are then implemented on Tuesday.
Data from the Department of Energy showed diesel prices ranged between P28.75 and P37.55 per liter, while gasoline prices ranged from P35.80 to P51.32 per liter.
Year-to-date adjustments stood at a net decrease of P3.22 per liter for gasoline and P7.36 per liter for diesel.
