Mario T. Supnad (right), provincial consultant to the office of the governor, briefs Friday Bataan Gov. Abet S. Garcia about the progress of the $500 million waste-to-energy project to be set up in Hermosa, Bataan. Project proponent – AgriPower of New York led by its CEO Barry Berman – assures that the WtE is well-funded with the assurance from various funders in U.S. and is supported by the U.S. Department of Commerce. AgriPower is now fast-tracking the project’s engineering, design and other documentation that is expected to start by last quarter of this year. Garcia, in turn, assured the AgriPower of his full support and cooperation for the early implementation of the WtE as this will generate employment and electricity in the country.
