AT least five areas in Negros Occidental would have to take a four-day COVID-19 holiday beginning August 28 to give way to the conduct of mass testing among 10,000 residents.
Areas which will be placed under lockdown include the cities of Bacolod, Bago, Talisay, Silay, and the town of Murcia where mass testing would be done by the local government units.
As this developed, Victoria, Laguna Mayor Frankie Almeda and Mauban, Quezon Mayor Marita Llamas tested positive for COVID-19. Both are asymptomatic and placed under home quarantine.
Almeda had fever last Monday and he got the result of his COVID-19 testing last Thursday.
