SAMAL, Bataan – Mayor Aida de Guia Macalinao is now closely working with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources to provide, at last, titles to the untitled lots and houses erected along the town’s highways in yet another record-breaking history of this town.

Mayor Macalinao’s action came after Raul H. Mamac, head of DENR in Bataan, offered to help Mayor Macalinao assist in working for the titling of the untitled lots being occupied along the highways.

Being located along the highways, these lots, usually, are government-owned.

Mayor Macalinao, in return, thanked Mamac for his concern to the Samaleños, saying this is another breakthrough under her leadership and that of Mamac.

And this is not the first time that Mamac extended help to the town after he buckled down to work for the issuance of Environmental Compliance Certificate of a housing project in San Juan last month.

“Malaking pasasalamat natin kay Mr. Mamac sa offer niyang tutulong sa pagpapatitulo sa mga lupang kinatitirikan ng bahay ng mga kababayan natin na nakatira sa gilid ng mga kalsada,” said Mayor Macalinao.

Mamac assured Macalinao that he will work for the titling of said untitled lots along the highways ‘while I am still in the position so they cannot be called squatter anymore,’ a claim lauded by Macalinao.
