FOR how it looks, Senator Bong Go neither trust nor like Health Secretary Francisco Duque, whom he urged to take the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccines that would be made available soon.

At the Laging Handa press briefing, Go challenged Duque to volunteer for the first injection to determine whether or not it is safe for the public.

Aside from Duque, Go also wanted vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. to follow after Duque.

“I’m challenging them once available na po ‘yung safe na vaccine, ipapakita nila sila po ang unang magpapaturok ng vaccine to encourage naman po,” said Go who chairs the Senate Committee on Health chair.

Go made the statement as he said the poor and the vulnerable should be prioritized in the access and availability of COVID-19 vaccines, citing reports that saw many Filipinos still hesitant to have themselves vaccinated.

“Dapat unahin ang poor, vulnerable, frontliners of course, sila ang nangunguna sa labang ito, mga sundalo, mga guro natin, mga senior citizens po na talagang vulnerable at especially po ‘yung mga indigent Filipino people,” Go said.

“Dapat po’y maging libre po ito sa mga mahihirap,” he added.
